When the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation launched an initiative to make the 300-acre, City-owned, industrial business park the “greenest” one of its kind in America, The Marino Organization was asked to manage the rollout.

In April, TMO coordinated an event on the rooftop of the new 89,000-square-foot, LEED Silver-certified, Perry Building – the nation’s first multi-story green industrial facility.  With six building-mounted wind turbines churning in the background – the first building in New York City to have them – Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and local elected officials opened the new building and announced the ambitious effort to more than a dozen members of the media.

The event draw reporters and photographers from every major print, television and radio outlet in the City, as well as trade outlets covering the real estate and environmental fields.  Some of the coverage included
